Vocalise - Faber Music and KPM library collaboration
Vocalise is a breathtaking and original collection of wordless vocal arrangements, written by our Faber Music Media composers. Ranging from ethereal melisma to kooky, toe-tapping jazz; this album marks the start of an exciting collaboration for KPM and Faber Music.
Vocalise is also the first in a series of library CDs to feature Faber Music composers across all genres, including Howard Goodall, Simon Lacey and Alexander L’Estrange.

Faber Music signs Philip Sheppard
Faber Music is delighted to announce a new publishing agreement with the Philip Sheppard. A highly successful solo cellist and composer for film and TV, Philip is also well known for his involvement in large-scale theatre and musical events – including being composer and music producer for the London 2012 Handover Ceremony at the Beijing Olympics, where he worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, Jimmy Page and Leona Lewis.
Recent film/TV scores include the Apollo lunar missions documentary In the Shadow of the Moon (which won numerous awards including the World Documentary Prize at Sundance), and David Starkey’s acclaimed series for Channel 4, Henry Mind of a Tyrant.
Philip has produced the music for two recent BBC TV live events; The Manchester Passion and The Liverpool Nativity. He was awarded the BBC award for Best Music Production of the year for his arranging and directing work on the Passion Project. His stage works include the ballet Sacred Monsters for Sylvie Guillem and Akram Khan, and the theatre dance piece In-I starring Khan and the actress Juliette Binoche. He regularly writes and plays with UNKLE and has written and arranged tracks with numerous rock musicians including Scott Walker, Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Page, Suzanne Vega, David Bowie and Jarvis Cocker.
Marc Sylvan music for The Million Pound Drop
Davina McCall hosts the new live gameshow from Channel 4, airing at 10pm over five nights from Monday 24th May. Marc has composed the theme and music beds.
Faber Music signs Al Lethbridge
Faber Music is proud to welcome Al Lethbridge to its roster of composers. Hugely versatile and successful, Al has a very extensive catalogue of credits encompassing all genres of production from film to entertainment TV. Recent high-profile credits include “80 Days Around The World” (BBC1, 2009) and “Andrea: Queen of Mantas” (BBC2, 2009).
Al’s particular specialism is documentary films, and he has worked on several drama-documentaries made by acclaimed director Peter Nicholson. Another recurrent collaboration is with his wife, filmmaker Jenny Jones, whose own specialism has been the filming of Great White Sharks. Four of her shark documentaries, with Al’s music, have been broadcast all around the world.
Led Bib signs synch agreement with Faber Music Media
One of the original torch bearers for the revitalized young British jazz scene Led Bib are described in Time Out London as “the most credible thing going in UK jazz.”
Fun may not be a word you expect to hear in relation to jazz, but Led Bib presents their music with a playfulness that eliminates the typical jazz preconceptions.
Led Bib was announced as an ‘Album of the Year’ in the 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize alongside artists including Bat For Lashes, Florence and the Machine, The Horrors and Friendly Fires.
