Goldheart Assembly's 'Long Distance Song Effects' released

Goldheart Assembly's 'Long Distance Song Effects' released This week sees the release of recent Faber Music signings Goldheart Assembly's new album 'Long Distance Song Effects'.

Recorded in Luzern, Switzerland, Long Distance Song Effects was shaped over a period of two years with Swiss musician/producer Tobi Gmur. Having met Gmur on a European tour Goldheart Assembly made full use of his offer to make the studio available to them and it became a sanctuary of supportive late night sessions and mutually expressed ideas. Back in London after having recorded 25 tracks, and argued incessantly over running orders and the prudence of releasing a double album, recording was concluded.

The album, the band's second, has received many positive reviews and it's release will be followed by a short UK tour taking in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and London.

'At heart the Assembly are still all about disarmingly beautiful harmonies, with an ethereal sense of melancholy that sees lonely souls crash into "desperate arms" while even sunlight provides only isolation.' The Guardian (Dave Simpson)

'The control and variety they display throughout Long Distance Song Effects shows that Goldheart Assembly have come into their own here' Allmusic (Heather Phares)
