Howard Goodall commissioned to write opening Fanfare for Live@Lloyds Gala Charity Concert
Live@Lloyds featured patriotic music by Handel (Zadok the Priest and Hallelujah) and Arne (Rule Britannia) together with popular works by the great British composers of the nineteenth and twentieth century including Elgar, Parry and Walton.

Howard Goodall's spectacular Fanfare was performed by the Trumpeters of the Life Guards from the gallery of the Underwriting Room in the Lloyd's Building in the City of London.  It provided a dramatic opening for the first ever major charity concert to take place within this historic room, with the performers positioned for the concert around the famous Lutine Bell.  Musicians from Royal College of Music and the City of London Choir took part and were conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton.
